Pen + Watercolor = ?

For this assignment we mixed watercolor and ink. We did five compositions where we water-colored first and then added line after it dried, and five the other way, drawing with ink first and going back in with watercolor. I found that I liked doing pen first, because then you could see where the watercolor needed to be added. Here are some of those paintings. The first one I drew with pen first and then dropped in the watercolor. The other two I did the watercolor first and then added pen. I like how the second one turned out because I wanted to leave the barn space white, and it actually turned out decently.
